Hey, I know some of you have been having a tough week. I sure have.
I just wanted to reiterate something (well two things actually) that I’ve been saying for a LONG time:
hey! It’s ok to be ill.
I know that it’s far easier to give yourself a hard time, than it is to give yourself a break. But Mental Illness is illness and you need both time and rest for a full recovery.
A wise woman (me) once said:
Wins are wins and losses are just wins for later.
Celebrate yourself. You’re doing just fine.
You’re not alone.
There are so many people in your boat, and so many more rooting for you. Those are the people worth your time and nobody else.
If you follow me on Twitter then you’ll know that I have been struggling to. There’s no shame in admitting that.
1 in 4 of us will experience mental illness in our lifetime. 1 in 4 people in the world. Those are just the people who receive a diagnosis.
I know living with a mental illness can feel like the loneliest place in the world but it isn’t. Take comfort in knowing that you’re in good company.
