3 great reasons to get a tablet cushion

AD| If you own an iPad, or other tablet, you probably already know how important it is to have a case and screen protector to keep it from getting damaged. But did you know that you can also get an iPad cushion to make using your tablet easier and more comfortable?

I have had my cushion for 2 weeks now and have been using it with my iPad since. If you’ve been thinking about getting one, I hope this post will help you decide whether or not it’s something that will be useful to you. I’m using this Welsh Meadow tablet beanbag from Celina Digby. It’s handmade in the UK and I absolutely love the patterned fabric. It really fits into our cottage home well.

Here are 3 ways you can use a tablet cushion with your device to make life a bit easier and more comfortable:

Set up your iPad absolutely anywhere

The case I use already allows my iPad to stand up without having to prop it up against books or fiddle around trying to stand it up against other items, but the case needs a steady and flat surface to be able to work effectively. The tablet cushion has meant that I can set up my iPad securely for streaming on any surface.

The cushion is essentially a mini beanbag, which means that it easily moulds to fit snugly on the surface it’s on, while still being a safe place to sit my iPad. It works with any tablet, kindle, eReader or phone and you can angle your device however you want. It means that you no longer have to crowd into your home office to have zoom calls and can relax on your sofa while chatting to your friends and family!

Make watching TV in bed comfier and more stable

Trying to find a comfortable position while watching stuff on my laptop in bed can be tricky. As someone who lives with a condition that sometimes leaves me stuck in bed for long periods of time, I often have to hold my laptop in my hands to get it at a good angle. Even if I rest the iPad against something, I have to regularly change position and that means trying to reconfigure things all over again.

Because the tablet is light weight and portable, you can easily move your laptop around the bed, without having to worry about the aches and pains that can be caused by having to hold it up yourself. It makes it so much easier to stream your favourite shows from a comfortable position without having to strain your neck. It holds the laptop well in either portrait or landscape.

Use the cushion to get a better angle for digital art

Something I wasn’t expecting is that the cushion would help support my arm while I was creating digital art, but it really does. I use procreate to paint digitally with, when I’m unable to find the energy to set an area up for painting with brushes and paints.

So far in 2021, I’ve only painted digitally (except for a tiny rock I turned into a hedgehog!) and the cushion has helped me do this for longer periods of time as I’ve been able to better support my wrist. It’s not intended for this use, so you’ll have to find a position that’s comfortable and works for you, but I tried it and found it helpful!

I just want to thank Celina Digby for sponsoring this post and for sending me the iPad cushion to try out. There are tons of bold fabric products on celinadigby.co.uk, including this tablet cushion, which comes in different designs. I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to include this brand on my blog!
