Make your bed super cosy with these 10 products

As someone who lives with conditions that limit my energy levels, having my bed super cosy is a huge relief for me. Living with PTSD already limits my quality of life, but having an extra comfortable bed that I can retreat to makes it a little bit easier. Being stuck in bed isn’t a fun feeling, but it’s more manageable if you’re happy with the space you’re stuck in!

A mattress topper

One quick way to upgrade the comfort level of your bed (without splurging on a whole new mattress) is to get yourself a mattress topper. Instant squishy bed. Bliss.

A body pillow

I’m so jealous of anyone who has a body pillow. I like to sleep with one leg tucked up and curled over a roll of duvet, when I can afford one I’ll definitely be investing in one of these.

Weighted blanket

If you struggle with anxiety, a weighted blanket might give you some relief. I got mine in 2019 and I get a lot of comfort from the hugging feeling it gives me to lie beneath it.

A cute night light

There are all kinds of funky night lights out there, but I’m personally a sucker for a galaxy style projector. I used to live in an attic bedroom with a skylight and looking up at the stars has always brought me a sense of calm.

Pillow spray

There are so many sprays on the market now that promote a better night’s sleep when applied to your pillow. One of the best ones out there is the This Works Pillow Spray, which is designed to reduce sleep anxiety. 89% of users say it helped them get to sleep faster and 98% reported feeling more refreshed in the morning.

Dried Lavender

I recently bought some dried lavender to put in a cute foxy vase in our room and it’s made the room smell absolutely divine. Lavender flowers have properties that help you relax and feel sleepy, and dried lavender also looks pretty – especially if you’re into the cottagecore aesthetic. I bought 4 bunches.

Cute bedding

I could probably write a whole post about bedding (maybe I will). I absolutely love it, I’ve had some beautiful sets over the years. My dream is to own a linen set, but they’re pretty pricey. At the moment I’ve got my eye on this Celestial Bedding Set from Oceanleadshop on Etsy. Gorgeous!

Edit: I did! You can read my post about bedding here!

Tablet holder

I’ve had several tablet holder arms in the past and it makes such a huge difference not to have to hold onto your device in your arms, especially if you end up watching stuff in bed. I’ve also written about iPad cushions before, which are a great option if you want something a bit cosier and more aesthetically pleasing!

Water bottle

I wrote about my favourite water bottle recently because it’s made a huge difference to my health and hydration since I incorporated it into my daily self care routine. Having access to water at night has huge health benefits and also reduces your chances of having certain health conditions.

Fluffy blanket

Nothing beats having a soft fluffy blanket on your bed ready to snuggle up to. There are so many great options out there, but I’ve chosen this super soft, cosy, fluffy knitted blanky from Etsy. It’s marketed at faux fur, but honestly it looks more like a warm fleecy material! Cwtch to your heart’s content!

  1. My bed/bedroom wishlist is a mile long! I found some Himalayan pink salt string lights on Amazon that I’m dying to buy and string up along the headboard!

I bought my boyfriend a 4ft body pillow for his birthday (December) but over the last month or so I have been using it and it’s been heaven! It was only £11.99 too!

I definitely need to start using lavender at night again, and I’ve just treated myself to a new water bottle!

I definitely need to get some new bedding, nothing beats brand new, fresh sheets.
